NOTIFICATION
National Sanskrit University, Tirupati invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following Teaching positions to be filled by Direct Recruitment.
The applications along with prospectus can be downloaded from the National Sanskrit University, Tirupati website: www.nsktu.ac.in Applicants are required to enclose a Demand Draft of Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred only). for registration/processing fee in the case of URIOBC/EWS candidates drawn on any nationalized bank on or after the date of this notification in favour of the Registrar, National Sanskrit University, Tirupati. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories and Women candidates are not required to pay any fee while submitting filled-in applications. Any relaxation such as age, qualification, fees etc., is not applicable for candidates belonging to SC/STIPwD categories in the case of applying for any Un-reserved posts. Separate application form should _be submitted for each post along with the prescribed fee. The
application form shall not be issued on payment of Cash Of by submission of Demand Draft through
Speed Post/Registered Post or any other mode. The applicants are required to send the downloaded filled-in applications along with the prescribed fee to the Registrar, National Sanskrit University, Tirupati - 517 507, Chittoor (Dist.), Andhra Pradesh.
The Last date and time for submission of downloaded duly filled-in prescribed application form is 16th April, 2021 by 5:30 pm.
01. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN YOGA -- (UR) -- 01 POST
Academic Pay Level-13-A (Rs.l,31,400-Rs.2,17,100) (as per VII Pay Commission)
Eligibility:
(i) A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the subject concerned or in a relevant discipline.
(ii) A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point
scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
(iii) A minimum of eight years' experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution! industry with
. evidence of published work and a minimum of seven publications as books
and/or research/policypapers in peer-reviewed or UOC listed journals and a total research score of at least Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of the :UOCRegulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2018.
Desirable: Proven record of experience in the field of Yoga asanas and Practicals.

02. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN ADVAITA VEDANTA -- (UR) -- 01 POST
Academic Pay Level-13-A (Rs.l,31,400-Rs.2,17,100) (as per VII Pay Commission) Eligibility:
(i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant
disciplines.
(ii) A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point
scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
(iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institutions/ industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UOC listed joumals and a total research score of Seventy five (75), as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of the UOC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2018.
( 03. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN VISIST ADVAlTA VEDANTA -- (OBC) -- 01 POST Academic Pay Level-lO (Rs.57,700-Rs.I,82,400) (as per VII Pay Commission)

(i) AcharyaiMaster's degree in Visistadvaita Vedanta with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale whereverthe grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Visistadvaita Vedanta in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.PhillPh.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from tiine to time as the' case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:
Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11,
2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions :-
(a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode; (b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; (c) An open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate has been conducted;
(d) The Candidate has published two research pa,pers from hislher Ph.D.
work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;
(e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGCIICSSRICSIR or any similar agency.
The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the
Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.

(i) Acharya in Sanskrit Sahitya / Master's degree in general Sanskrit with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. .
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Sanskrit Sahitya in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.PhillPh.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:

5. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN SANSKRIT EDUCATION (SANSKRIT TEACIDNG METHODOLOGy) -- (SC) -- 01 POST

Eligibility (A or B) :
A. (i). Acharya in any Sastra/M. A. in Sanskrit or equivalent degree in Sanskrit with minimum 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale
( wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
(ii). Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed)/M.Ed/M.A. in Education with minimum 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. .
(iii). Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Education conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Education in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET /SLET /SET:

The following self attested xerox copies of documents are to be enclosed along with the application in respect of relevant post:
(1) A minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC- listed journals for the post of Associate Professor as per UGC Regulations, 2018 in three sets. All published research papers in full should be sent in one binding as a separate enclosure to the application.
(2) Supporting documents (degree/diploma certificates and mark sheets) of qualifications and experience.
(3) Certificate in proof of date of birth (X ClasslH.s.C/its equivalent)
(4) Caste Certificate in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates issued by Mandal Revenue Officer/Tahasildar concerned or other competent authority in Revenue Department.
(5) The Candidates belonging to OBC, in addition to their community certificate have to submit a declaration to the effect that they don't belong to persons/sections (Creamy Layer) mentioned in column 3 of the schedule mentioned vide O.M.No.36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 8th September, 1993 and modified DoPT O.M.No.36033/312004 Estt. (Res.) dated 09/0312004, 14/10/2008 and 27/05/2013 without which applications will not be considered.
(6) PwD Candidates should submit the proof of disability certificate issued by the competent authority (with minimum required disability percentage).
(7) As per the OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of the DoPT, Govt. of India, the benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a CompetentAuthority, The Income and Asset Certificate issued by anyone of the following authorities in the prescribed format as given in Annexure-I of the above mentioned OM dated

GENERAL INFORMATION
(1) Mere possession of eligibility conditions shall not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the last date and time as prescribed inthis notification for receipt of the applications. In other words, no candidate shall be called for interview if he does not possess the minimum qualification and experience etc., for the post as on the last date and as prescribed in this notification.
(2) Acceptance of documents/certificates/claims etc. submitted by an applicant will be subject to their verification by the competent authorities/sources. If, any claim/certificate/document is found to be false/fake/incorrect/ .malafide at any stage of verification before or after appointment, the document in question shall•be summarily rejected and action may be initiated against the candidate for this misconduct including rejection of his candidature which shall lead to cancellation of his appointment, if already appointed.
(3) If at any stage of the recruitment process or employment, it is detected that there is a willful suppression of factual information relating to the eligibility
( or otherwise as a candidate, followed by supply of fake documents/ or misleading statement/information in the application or tampering of
documents or providing such information relating to the caste, educational qualifications, experience, date of birth or domicile etc., the candidature shall be cancelled and services shall be terminated forthwith.
(4) For all teaching posts, the research publications of a candidate shall mean his original contributions/ works which have seen the light of the day after being published by any publishers. The Publications must display the originality of the author with ali innovative mind indicating: scholarship, Under no circumstances, editing of collected articles/materials which have already been published earlier can be equated with publications as this work does not meet the afore-mentioned objectives and requirements.
(5) Notwithstanding anything mentioned above, the candidature of the candidate(s) applied against the teaching posts in response to the notification released by the National Sanskrit University or the persons to be appointed against any post as per the notification shall be governed by the rules of the Govt. of India/Guidelines of the UGC adopted by the National Sanskrit University from time to time and resolutions of the Executive Council of the National Sanskrit University.
(6) Territorial Jurisdiction: In case of any disputes, the, territorial jurisdiction for adjudication shall be the High C6urt of Andhra Prade'sh only.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. The University reserves the right:
(a) to relax any of the requirements with reference to age and experience III exceptional cases and/or in the case of persons already holding comparable positions, on a regular basis, in a University/research institution,
(b) to fill up or not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised;
2. Since applications received may be shortlisted, merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and the requisite experience would not entitle a person to be called for an interview:
3. No queries or correspondence regarding issue of call letters for interview/selection of candidates for the post will be entertained at any stage and canvassing will lead to debarring the candidate from considering to the post. ' " '
4. The National Sanskrit University reserves the right to revise/ re-schedule/cancel/suspend the recruitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the University shall be final and no appeal shall be entertained.
5. Minimum Educational Qualifications: All applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the UGC Regulations on
( Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in
Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher
Education,2018. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down for various posts. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained.
6. For posts reserved for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS candidates, applications from other candidates will not be entertained nor will SC candidates be substituted either by ST/OBC candidates and vice-versa;
7. Candidates belonging to OBC category, but coming in creamy layer will not be entitled to the benefits of reservation and should apply as General Category
8. Candidates who have obtained 55% or more marks or an equivalent grade of B in the
7 point scale as mentioned below in the Master's Degree should only apply except in the case of SC/ST/OBC and' PwD candidates, for whom the relaxation of 5% is applicable as per Government ofIndianorms and UGC Regulations, 2018.
9. Candidates are required to put their full signature on the application form. Paste (do not staplel pin) a latest passport size color photograph in the space provided for at the right top portion on the first page of the application and to attach one photograph along with the application.
10. Please write name of the post applied for with subject and specilization (if any), reserved post or unreserved post, and applicant's name with full postal address along with his/her Mobile Number on the back of the Demand Draft without fail.
Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates:
11. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates exist as per the Rosters being maintained by the University for various posts in accordance with the guidelines of the UGC/GoI. Candidates applying for the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong. They must also enclose a Certificate issued by Tahsildarl Mandal Revenue Officer/Equivalent authority as proof to this effect, without which the applications will not be considered.
In case a candidate wants to claim benefits under the Persons with Disability category, the candidates relevant disability should not be less than 40 per cent. Proof to this effect in the form of a valid Disability Certificate inust be enclosed to the application, without which the application will be treated as General (Unreserved).

Candidates of OBC categOly :
The Candidates belonging to OBC, in addition to their community certificate has to submit a declaration to such effect that they don't belong to persons/sections (Creamy Layer) mentioned in column 3 of the schedule mentioned vide O.M.No.36012/22/93- Estt.(SCT) dated 8th September, 1993 and modified DoPT O.M.No.36033/3/2004
Estt. (Res.) dated 09/03/2004, 14110/2008 and 27/05/2013 without which applications
will not be considered. Candidates of EWS category :
As per the OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of the DoPT, Govt. of India, the benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate' 'issued by a Competent Authority. The Income and Asset Certificate issued 'by anyone of the following authorities in the prescribed format as given in Annexure-I of the above mentioned OM dated 31.01.2019, shall only be accepted as proof of candidate's claim as 'belonging to EwS: - (i) District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner/l st Class Stipendary 3 Magistrate/ Sub- Divisional Magistrate / Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner (ii) Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate (iii) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar and (iv) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.
If no copies of the above celiificates are sent with the application, it is liable to be rejected for reserved positions and no appeal against its rejection will be enteliained.
12. A relaxation of 5% will be allowed from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Bachelor's as well as at the Master's level for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBCIPWD category.
13. The University shall verify the antecedents or document submitted by the candidate at any time of appointment or during the tenure of service. In case it is found that the documents submitted by the candidate are fake, then his/her services shall be terminated and disciplinary/criminal proceedings will be initiated. Further, suppression of information on the application on the date of submission will make the
candidate ineligible for screening, written test and/or \ Interview.
14. Only Matriculation/SSC certificate/passing certificate issued by the concemed education board will be considered as proof of Date of Birth. No other document will be accepted for verification of date of birth,
15. The National Sanskrit University reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason thereof. In case of any disputes/suits or legal proceedings against the University, the Jurisdiction shall be restricted to the High COUli of Andhra Pradesh only.
16. The candidates called for interview will have to, come tothe place of interview at their own expenses. However, outstation unemployed candidates belonging to SC/STIPWD categories called for interview will be paid to and fro single second class rail fare/ bus fare towards journey expenses on production of Tickets.
(' 17. The candidates should bring their original research papers, 'degrees and certificates, etc. with them for verification.
18. Candidates residing abroad may be considered in absentia by the Selection
Committee and if selected, shall be interviewed by the Vice-Chancellor.
19. The National Sanskrit University will send call letters for attending interview to the eligible candidates only as per rules.
20. The age of superannuation shall be 65 years for teachers subject to amendments by the Government of India from time to time.
21. Employed persons should send their applications through 'proper channel'. However, advance copies may be sent to save delay, subject to the production of NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE at the time of interview.
22. Only prescribed applications to be downloaded from National Sanskrit University website (www.nsktu.ac.in) will be accepted. If a candidate desires to apply for more than one post he/she should make a separate application for each along with the requisite fee. The candidate should clearly note that the National Sanskrit University will not be responsible for non-receipt of application or any delay in receipt thereof on any account. Candidates should keep visiting the National Sanskrit University website www.nsktu.ac.in regularly for announcement/infOlmation/colTigendum/ notices and other details throughout the selection process at various stages for filling up these vacant positions. No separate communication shall be sent to individuals by the University.
23. Applications on plain paper or without the enclosures or incomplete applications will not be entertained and they will summarily be rejected.
24. Applications received after the due date' and time shall summarily be rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
25. No interim queries regarding interview / selection will be entertained.
26. Applicants are advised to give phone numbers and e-mail address in their own interest to facilitate prompt communication.

28. New Pension Scheme in accordance with the O.M. No.F.5-2/97 (DU) dated 26-8-
2004 and O.M. No. 1-212004 (FA-NPS) dated 15-12-2004 received from the University Grants Commission will be applicable for the candidates appointed on or after 1-1-2004 and subsequent amendments made or will be made from time to time.
29. Duly signed and filled in downloaded prescribed applications should be addressed to the Registrar, National Sanskrit University, Tirupati-517 507 (A.P.) in an envelope superscribing "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF

before the last date and time prescribed in this Notification.
